After Phil Savage left the broadcast booth for the Alabama Crimson Tide, many speculated who will replace Savage and now there is no more speculations.

Former Alabama quarterback John Parker Wilson will join the broadcast booth for the Crimson Tide and Rashad Johnson will fill-in sideline reporter duties for Chris Stewart.

Wilson joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to discuss becoming the new color commentator for the Crimson Tide.

"You know it's been exciting, I've had a lot of people reach out to me and congratulating me, Wilson said. "Always excited for football season to get here and now we;re just over a month until kickoff against Louisville and for me it takes on a different meaning. It kind of feels like I'm getting ready for kickoff kind of like I used."

"Those guys start training camp on Friday, so I feel like I'm doing the same thing but the only difference is I get to do it in the air conditioning preparing just like they are. But really ready to go, it's a huge opportunity and huge responsibility."

Wilson discussed working with legendary Alabama broadcaster Eli Gold and growing up listening to him on the radio to joining him in the booth.

He also discussed going from a Nick Saban player to having to cover him, preparing for fall camp and the importance of competition in camp.
