Former Clemson DB Dexter McCleon Talks Alabama vs. Clemson
In what has become an almost annual national championship contest since 2015, Alabama and Clemson will square off to decide who is college football's national champion for the 2018 season.
To close out the week, former Clemson and NFL defensive back Dexter McCleon offered his thoughts on Monday night's national championship game on The Gary Harris Show.
McLeon starred on the football and baseball fields about a quarter century ago for Meridian High School just 90 minutes away from Tuscaloosa but chose Clemson over Alabama and later spent 10 seasons in the NFL for the St. Louis Rams, Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans.
During his visit with Gary Harris, McCleon discussed his recruitment to Clemson but had a lot of things to say on Dabo Swinney's vision for Clemson, the decision to switch quarterbacks from Kelly Bryant to Trevor Lawrence, defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence's absence for Monday night and the importance for both teams to run the ball, protect the quarterback and to play outstanding in the secondary.
The Gary Harris Show airs every weekday from 9-11 AM on Tide 102.9/100.9 and the Tide 102.9 app.
