Former Rutgers Outfielder Transfers to Alabama
Former Rutgers outfielder Evan Sleight is transferring to Alabama.
"I'm thrilled to share that I'll be transferring to the University of Alabama. This decision marks the beginning of a new chapter in my athletic journey, and I'm eagerly anticipating the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. Roll Tide," wrote Sleight.
Last season, the Mass., native started in 56 games for the Scarlet Knights, recording a .315 batting average, 64 hits, 51 runs, 44 runs batted in, 34 drawn walks, 34 strikeouts, 14 doubles, 12 home runs, two stolen bases, and a triple.
The senior is the first player to come to the Capstone via the transfer portal this offseason.
