Following a very lackluster start to his career, Former Crimson Tide Quarterback Bryce Young has been benched by the Carolina Panthers in favor of Andy Dalton. Bryce was selected 1st overall in the 2023 Draft by the Carolina Panthers after being the starter at Alabama for the 2021 and 2022 Seasons. In his time at Alabama Young passed for 8,356 passing yards and 80 touchdowns while only throwing 12 picks. Young, who won the Heisman trophy in 2021, was selected by the Panthers to turn things around following multiple seasons of lackluster production.

In his time at Carolina Bryce has struggled to succeed going just 2-15 in his 1st NFL season throwing for 2,877 yards for 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, the Panthers sit at 0-2 right now waiting for things to finally turn around. Following Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, Head coach Dave Canellas said, "Bryce is our quarterback going forward". not even 24 hours after the loss it looks like Canellas changed his mind.

Before Bryce arrived in Carolina, Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield were the Signal Callers. In the time that they both left, they had a combined 46 TDs to 14 INT's. This certainly isn't what Young had hoped the start of his NFL career would look like, but we will wait and see how he responds and what the future holds for the former first-round pick.
