Defensive lineman London Simmons, cornerback Dijon Lee, tight end Kaleb Edwards, and offensive lineman Michael Carroll earned freshmen recognition from the SEC.

Simmons, a 6-foot-3, 303-pound defensive lineman from Jackson, Mississippi, has made 12 tackles for Alabama this season, notched one sack, and one fumble recovery in 2025. Simmons was a three-star recruit coming out of high school and was thrust into starting action when Tim Keenan III was out for the first month of the season, and when Jeremiah Beaman suffered a season-ending injury during practice leading up to Alabama's game against ULM.

Lee, a 6-foot-4, 202-pound cornerback from Mission Viejo, California, has played in all 12 games with five starts for the Crimson Tide this season. He's totaled 29 tackles, four pass breakups, and two interceptions for Alabama in 2025.

Edwards, a 6-foot-6, 264-pound tight end from El Dorado Hills, California, has started four games with appearances in all 12 games this season for Alabama. He's caught 11 passes for 150 yards and one touchdown with the Crimson Tide in 2025. His top performance came in the SEC Championship last week, with three receptions for 42 yards against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Carroll, a 6-foot-6, 321-pound offensive lineman from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, has started four games this season for Alabama while seeing action in 12 of the Tide's 13 contests this year. He took over midseason as the Tide's starter at right tackle.
