Finch chose Alabama over the Michigan Wolverines and the Tide's rival in the Volunteer State, the Tennessee Volunteers. Finch is a 6-foot-2, 270-pound defensive lineman from Indianapolis, Indiana.

Finch officially visited Alabama on May 30th. He also took official visits to Michigan, Miami, and Tennessee.

He is the second defensive line commitment for Alabama in the 2026 recruiting class, joining four-star defensive lineman Kamhariyan Johnson. He is the fifth defensive commitment for Alabama in the 2026 class, joining five-star cornerback Jorden Edmonds, four-star cornerback Zyan Gibson, four-star edge rusher Jamarion Matthews, and Johnson.

According to On3, Alabama now has the ninth-ranked recruiting class for 2026.

The Tide may not be finished on the defensive line, as they are still awaiting decisions by four stars Titan Davis and Nolan Wilson.

Finch's primary recruiter was his future position coach, Alabama defensive line coach Freddie Roach.
