
Alabama Named Finalist for Four-Star Georgia Linebacker
A big recruiting weekend for Alabama began on Friday, as 15 top prospects are on campus as Alabama tries to once again secure one of the top recruiting classes in the country.

One recruit, who is slated to visit Alabama later in June, has whittled his list of schools down to five. According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, four-star linebacker Anthony Davis has included Alabama in his list of top-five schools.
Alabama is joined by cross-state rival Auburn, Florida, Michigan, and Ole Miss as finalists for the Loganville, Georgia, native. Davis is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound linebacker who plays his high school football at Grayson High School. He's ranked as the No. 249 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 17 linebacker in the class.
According to On3's top teams list for Davis, the Auburn Tigers, led by defensive coordinator and linebackers' coach DJ Durkin, lead the way for Davis. However, Alabama is right on the heels of the Tigers, led by inside linebackers' coach Chuck Morrell.
Davis is a Tackling Machine
As a sophomore in 2023, Davis totaled 67 tackles, six tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and one interception. In 2024, he took his game to another level, totaling 105 tackles,15 tackles for loss, three sacks, five pass breakups, and one interception.
Davis's Upcoming Visit Schedule
Anthony Davis Jr. currently has three official visits scheduled. He'll visit Auburn on May 30, Ole Miss on June 6, and Alabama on June 20. As of Friday, May 30, Alabama gets the final official visit for Davis.
As a junior, Davis was named to the Under Armour All-American roster for the 2024-25 All-Star game.
