Four-Star Quarterback Places Alabama in Top-Four
The Crimson Tide continues to make the finalist lists for top prospects in the country, and now, Alabama has made the top four for a highly coveted quarterback.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, 2026 four-star quarterback Derek Zammit has included Alabama in his final four list of schools.
Joining Alabama among Zammit's top list is Mississippi State (SEC), Washington (Big Ten), and Syracuse (ACC).
Zammit is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback from DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey. 247 Sports Composite rankings hail Zammit as the No. 390 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, the No. 26 quarterback in the class, and the No. 6 player in New Jersey.
According to his X profile, Zammit passed for 2,582 yards and 35 touchdowns as the starting quarterback for DePaul Catholic in 2024 while also rushing for 560 yards and six touchdowns.
Zammit has yet to visit Alabama, officially or unofficially, but with the Crimson Tide offering him on February 19 and already being among the top four schools for the New Jersey native, he will likely visit Alabama soon once official visits begin in May.
Of the schools listed as finalists, Zammit has visited Syracuse twice. The only other two schools he has visited, Rutgers (4) and Penn State (1), were not among his final four.
