TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama began its revenge tour from the three losses suffered during the 2024 season, with all three games coming in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The initial matchup came against the Vanderbilt Commodores, who defeated Alabama last season 40-35 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Alabama offensively did what the Crimson Tide was used to do, with quarterback Ty Simpson throwing for another 340 yards and two touchdowns, and the Crimson Tide's rushing attack saw the explosive return of Jam Miller, who rushed for 136 yards and a score in his first action in Bryant-Denny Stadium this season.
Additionally, for the second-straight game, Alabama had fewer penalties than the opposing team, with Vanderbilt having five and Alabama having three.
The Tide's receiving attack also shone, with Ryan Williams catching six passes for 98 yards and a score, Germie Bernard catching five passes for 82 yards and a score, and Isaiah Horton catching four passes for 66 yards.
It was a dominant showing, especially in the second half, for Alabama defensively. Alabama allowed just nine rushing yards in the second half, and Kane Wommack's side of the ball pitched a second-half shutout while collecting three turnovers.
