GALLERY: Alabama Men’s Basketball Hangs on to Defeat Clemson in SEC-ACC Challenge
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide looked to be on its way to a staggering win over the Clemson Tigers in Coleman Coliseum, holding a 19-point lead over Clemson midway through the first half. Alabama took its foot off the gas defensively, allowing the Tigers to claw their way back into the matchup. Alabama trailed by four points late in the second half after Tide fans watched their team blow a 19-point lead to Clemson, despite valiant efforts from sophomore Labaron Philon and freshman Amari Allen.

Philon led the way for the Crimson Tide in the scoring category with 29 points, but foul trouble toward the end of the game hindered his ability to be aggressive defensively, allowing Clemson to hang around even after Alabama reclaimed the lead with less than two minutes remaining. Freshman Amari Allen, in his first career start, secured his first career double-double for the Crimson Tide with 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Tide in the 90-84 victory over Clemson.
