Georgia's head coach is Kirby Smart. Smart holds a 97-16 record as Georgia's head coach. Georgia hired Smart following the firing of Mark Richt after the 2015 college football season. Smart was the defensive coordinator at Alabama before becoming the head coach of Georgia. He coached Georgia to a 13-1 record last season, losing to Alabama in the 2023 SEC Championship game.
