Bernard was the leading wide receiver in catches for Alabama with 50 on the season and was the second-leading receiver in yards and touchdowns with 794 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Bernard also added 37 yards and one touchdown rushing for Alabama in 2024.

Bernard's only 100-yard performance of the season came in the Iron Bowl, where he caught seven passes for 111 yards in Alabama's 28-14 victory over Auburn. He caught two passing touchdowns this season, one at Wisconsin and one against South Carolina.

Bernard's rushing touchdown came in Alabama's 41-34 victory over Georgia.

Bernard transferred to Alabama after Kalen DeBoer accepted the head coach position at Alabama in January 2024 after spending his sophomore season at Washington, where he was the fourth option in that offense. He caught 34 passes for 419 yards and two touchdowns in Seattle.

In his freshman season, Bernard was at Michigan State with seven catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns.

Bernard was a four-star recruit from Henderson, Nevada, and the No. 239 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.

Alabama will now return Ryan Williams and Germie Bernard, their top two receivers from last season. In addition, Alabama will get Jalen Hale and Cole Adams back from injury, while adding Miami transfer Isaiah Horton from the transfer portal. Freshman Rico Scott is also set to return to Alabama, with Jaylen Mbakwe switching to wide receiver.

Alabama also signed two wide receivers in the 2025 recruiting class, three-star Lotzier Brooks and four-star Derek Meadows.
