After one of the best seasons in Alabama men's basketball history, senior Herb Jones has announced he will enter into the upcoming NBA Draft. Jones joins fellow senior John Petty in the NBA Draft pool, due to the pandemic seniors had the option to return to universities for an additional year.

Both Jones and Petty went through draft evaluations last year but opted instead to return to Tuscaloosa for their senior years. The pair of players guided Alabama to an SEC regular season and tournament championship and an appearance in the Sweet 16.

Jones was the SEC Player of the Year and the SEC Defensive Player of the Year and was Third Team All-American this season. He averaged 11.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.1 blocks per game as a senior.

Not wanting to be left out, junior walk on Britton Johnson took to social media to assure Alabama fans everywhere that he would be returning to the team next season. He played 18 minutes across 12 games this past season.

Alabama despite losing Jones and Petty the Crimson Tide appears ready for the 2021 season. Oats currently has brought in the No. 3 recruiting class and will look to build off the success he built this past year.
