Alabama returns to action this Saturday against the LSU Tigers in Death Valley. Every week, Kalen DeBoer goes on the radio with Chris Stewart of the Crimson Tide Sports Network for "Hey Coach" and the Kalen DeBoer show. Here's what Alabama's head coach had to say on Wednesday night!

DeBoer on the bye week

"You’ve got to make sure you use it the right way, and I think our guys have."

DeBoer also mentioned he has previously coached in Death Valley, as the offensive coordinator of Eastern Michigan in 2015. DeBoer said obviously the crowd will be a little different this time as the head coach of Alabama.

DeBoer on Crowd Noise

“The offense is sick of hearing the last two weeks a speaker,” DeBoer said talking about crowd noise. “Probably lost some hearing the last two weeks.”

DeBoer said Alabama had a "business-like" attitude this week in practice.

DeBoer mentioned backup transfer quarterback Austin Mack "has done a great job of giving a lot of different looks” in preparation for LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier.

DeBoer was asked about this year's LSU team, “I see a team that has great athletes, offensively, defensively, explosive ... Well coached. Have been through the fire, home, away, close games.”

On the SEC, “It’s where, if you want to be challenged and see where you can take a team, this is the toughest league in the country. You’re going to get a great opponent every week.”

On Que Robinson (who joined DeBoer at the table on Wednesday night), “He makes the most of every day."

DeBoer's Final Word heading into the do-or-die game in Baton Rouge, "I expect us to be well prepared and ready to go on Saturday. Everything I‘ve seen, I like where we’re at.”
