The calendar has flipped to November, which means it is time for the initial College Football Playoff rankings. This is the first year for the expanded 12-team playoff model, and it has the college football postseason as highly anticipated as ever.

The top four conference champions get automatic bids into the playoffs, as well as the highest-rated group of five champion. The remaining seven spots will go to at-large bids, decided on by the College Football Playoff Committee.

With Alabama sitting at 6-2, it is unlikely, though not impossible, for the Crimson Tide to win the SEC, meaning if Alabama hopes to make the playoffs, it will need to do so as an at-large bid.

The path is now clearer for Alabama with the release of the initial rankings on November 5. Here is the full College Football Playoff Top-25 for November 5:

2 - Ohio State
3 - Georgia
