Initial Injury Report for Alabama & Tennessee
Alabama's initial injury report for this Saturday's matchup with the Tennessee Volunteers was released on Wednesday night on the heels of Kalen DeBoer providing a positive update on Kendrick Law and Kobe Prentice on Wednesday.
The initial SEC Injury report for the week included three players who appeared last week and two who did not.
The status of Kendrick Law and Kobe Prentice was expected following DeBoer's appearance on the SEC Teleconference Wednesday morning. DeBoer mentioned both players would be probable.
Yhonzae Pierre's appearance makes sense as well, with him having surgery last week. DeBoer mentioned him being more questionable this week after missing Alabama's victory over South Carolina.
Cayden Jones is a surprise addition, immediately being listed as "out," indicating he has no chance to play against Tennessee on Saturday. Jones is a reserve inside linebacker for Alabama, mostly earning reps on special teams for the Crimson Tide.
Domani Jackson was an unexpected addition, but not surprising. Jackson exited Alabama's 27-25 victory over South Carolina with a lower-body injury in the first half, even being carted to the locker room. Jackson returned in the second half, clinching the victory for Alabama with an interception of South Carolina quarterback, LaNorris Sellers.
We will receive three more injury updates ahead of the 2:45 p.m. CT kickoff on Saturday, October 19 for Alabama and Tennessee. We'll receive an update on Thursday, Friday, and 90 minutes before kickoff.
