Where Does Alabama Rank In NIL Money Budgets
I do not like this new world of college football, and I imagine many of you also feel the same.

However, it is the new world that we live in, and it’s how the game is played.
It’s all about the transfer portal and NIL.
I have read multiple reports from multiple reporters.
ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and CBS Sports have all reported on NIL budgets for major schools in 2025 and 2026.
On each of them, we are ranked behind the teams we need to beat to win national championships.
Most of the reports and estimates have the top programs ranked similarly to this in college football:
Texas is ranked first.
Ohio State is next, followed by Oregon, Texas A&M, Georgia, and Miami.
Alabama is next on the list.
24/7 did a report that had Auburn ranked ahead of Alabama!
That was a kick in the gut.
I don’t understand how, with the legacy the iconic Alabama brand has in college athletics, we could be ranked behind so many schools we need to beat.
A couple of the reports I looked at were more comprehensive looks at schools, including all sports, and they were worse than the football rankings.
We’ve either got to take a lesson from Indiana and stop chasing all five-star recruits, or go after guys who want to be here and want to win.
