According to Yea Alabama, the Crimson Tide's NIL collective, Alabama guard Jaeden Roberts has been cleared from concussion protocol and is available to play in the Crimson Tide's season opener against Florida State on Saturday.

Roberts missed a good portion of fall camp and did not scrimmage in either of the Tide's scrimmages for fall camp. Roberts was seen rotating along the starting offensive line with second-year Michigan State transfer Geno VanDeMark before his injury sidelined him for multiple weeks.

On Monday, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer was uncertain of Roberts' status for the season opener.

"I would say Jaeden Roberts is still in question, just with what he’s going through in the protocol and the process there," DeBoer said. "He’s progressing, he’s progressing, so we’ll kind of see here."

On Wednesday, during the SEC Teleconference, DeBoer said Roberts was practicing, but was "very limited." On Wednesday, the Crimson Tide's head coach was non-committal about Roberts missing the game.

Roberts started 12 games for Alabama last season at right guard, only missing Alabama's win over Mercer. In his place, second-year Michigan State transfer guard Geno VanDeMark started Alabama's win over Mercer and has practiced with the first team offensive line at right guard.

Alabama will still be without starting running back Jam Miller and starting defensive lineman Tim Keenan III for Saturday.
