Alabama Wide Receiver Jalen Hale Enters Transfer Portal
Redshirt sophomore wide receiver Jalen Hale has entered the transfer portal, according to a report by Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports.

Hale, a redshirt sophomore wide receiver from Longview, Texas, originally committed to the Crimson Tide over Texas, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Southern California, among others. He was ranked as a five-star recruit coming out of Longview High School, committing to Alabama on September 21, 2022, and originally made an impact as a true freshman for Alabama. In 2023, he caught five receptions for 148 yards and a touchdown.
Hale's career was derailed during spring practice for the 2024 season, when he suffered a season-ending knee injury during practice. Hale spent the entire 2024 season rehabbing his injury and participated in the Tide's bowl prep during the Reliaquest Bowl, taking a medical redshirt for the 2024 season.
In 2025, Hale has not contributed to the Crimson Tide, but has appeared in five games for Alabama against Florida State, ULM, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, and Eastern Illinois.
Hale is the second wide receiver from Alabama to enter the transfer portal, joining former four-star wide receiver Bubba Hampton. Hale is the fourth player to enter the portal from Alabama, joining wide receiver Bubba Hampton, safety Kameron Howard, offensive lineman Roq Montgomery, and running back Richard Young.
The transfer portal officially opened on Friday, January 2, and will remain open for 15 days.
