Jalen Milroe Named William V. Campbell Finalist
The starting quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide has been named a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy.

The William V. Campbell Trophy is the most prestigious and desirable "academic" award in college football, named after William V. Campbell, former head coach at Columbia.
Jalen Milroe will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship from the NFF. Finalists for the award will be honored on Dec. 10 at the 66th NFF Annual Awards Dinner at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas with the winner being announced that night. If Milroe is selected as this year’s winner, the scholarship will increase to $25,000.
Alabama previously had six finalists for the award, with one winner. Johnny Musso (1971), Randy Hall (1974), Steadman Shealy (1979), DeMeco Ryans (2005), Greg McElroy (2010), and Barrett Jones (2012) were all finalists, and Barrett Jones is the only winner in Alabama history.
Milroe is a two-time captain for the Alabama Crimson Tide, leading Alabama to an SEC championship and College Football Playoff berth in 2023.
He has 66 total touchdowns to date, with 4,894 passing yards and 42 scores while rushing for 1,181 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Milroe graduated in December 2023 Cum Laude with a 3.52 GPA and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Sports Management.
Milroe has been named to the SEC All-Academic Honor Roll three times while at Alabama.
