Milroe started for two seasons with the Crimson Tide, winning the SEC Championship in 2023 and making a College Football Playoff appearance in the Rose Bowl. In 2024, Milroe helped with the transition from former head coach Nick Saban to current head coach Kalen DeBoer.

In his two seasons as Alabama's starting quarterback, Milroe passed for 5,678 yards and 39 touchdowns. Milroe's ability to pull the ball and run it himself was a deadly weapon against Crimson Tide opponents, with Milroe accumulating 1,257 rushing yards and 32 rushing touchdowns in his two seasons as Alabama's starter.

Milroe's rookie contract will be a standard four-year deal for rookies, with Milroe being the ninth of Seattle's 11 draft picks to sign their rookie deals.

According to Spotrac, Milroe's contract is worth $6.2 million with a $1.1 million signing bonus. Milroe does not have a fifth-year option, so his first taste of free agency could come after the 2028 NFL season.

"It's definitely a great feeling," Milroe said after signing. "To be able to have an organization that's behind you - they selected me out of all the individuals that were placed in the draft, I was one of their selections in this year's draft. So I'm tremendously happy that I have the support of the organization, but now it's all about putting our best foot forward moving forward for the organization and for the guys in the locker room."
