Alabama Senior Running Back Injured During Scrimmage
The Crimson Tide will be a little thinner at running back to start the season, with Will Miller of BamaCentral reporting that senior running back Jam Miller was injured during Saturday's scrimmage.

Miller, a senior from Tyler, Texas, was the leading tailback for the Crimson Tide last season, rushing for 668 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 4.6 yards per carry. His top game in 2024 came against South Florida on September 7, where he rushed for 140 yards on the night.
Miller reports that Jam Miller's injury was an upper-body injury that he suffered in Saturday's second scrimmage of fall camp.
Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb spoke highly of Jam Miller during his media availability on Tuesday, August 5.
"Jam Miller. He's the man. Love that guy. Jam's been doing everything. The thing about a guy like Jam, you love older guys that don't feel like their skill set's complete," Grubb said. "I think Jam really wholeheartedly takes on, there's things that [he] can get better at. He works at them extremely hard. He's very diligent about his process. He's a good leader in the room."
Behind Miller, Alabama has a plethora of talented but unproven running backs. Redshirt sophomore Richard Young and sophomore Daniel Hill are the next backs to step in for the Crimson Tide. Alabama brings back redshirt freshman Kevin Riley, as well as adding redshirt senior Dre Washington from the transfer portal and freshman AK Dear in the recruiting class.
Over three seasons with Alabama, Miller has accumulated 1,092 rushing yards with 10 rushing touchdowns and 227 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.
