Tua Tagovailoa, the current quarterback of the Miami Dolphins has announced that his foundation, the “Tua Foundation,” will be hosting a “Luau with Tua” event in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m.

In a statement from Tagovailoa and his foundation, the former Alabama star stated that he was thrilled to be hosting the event.

"I am proud to be hosting my first-ever foundation event in Tuscaloosa,” said Tua. “My time spent here changed my life and a piece of my heart will forever be in Alabama. I want to do whatever I can to help kids throughout the state.”

The event will be hosted in “The Zone” at Bryant-Denny Stadium in the north endzone. This luau will be benefiting the Tua Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama and Nick’s Kids, according to the foundation’s website.

According to the statement, the event will feature "a live Luau, including fire knife dancing, Polynesian food, entertainment, a live and silent auction and much more." In addition, the statement says the along with Tua, some of the Tagovailoa family and "several former Alabama football stars" will be in attendance.

Tickets for the event are priced at $625 per person.

If your business is interested in sponsoring the event, there are five different levels of sponsorship:

  • Silver ($5,000)
  • Gold ($10,000)
  • Platinum ($15,000)
  • Diamond ($25,000)
  • Presenting ($37,500)

Since the “Silver” level of sponsorship is the lowest, it provides the lowest amount of perks. If your business goes with this option, you will receive a single table of ten for the event, a sponsor listing in the event program, and your logo will be displayed on the Tua Foundation’s website.

On the high end of sponsorship, the “Presenting” level will offer the following:

  • Three VIP tables of 10 in a "top location"
  • 16 tickets to a private VIP reception with Tua
  • Your name included in the event's billing
  • Name and logo on the cover of the event program
  • Name and logo listed on official event ticket
  • Your name or logo on all event signage
  • Special recognition by Master of Ceremonies
  • Recognition on Tua Foundation social media platforms
  • Full-page ad in the event program with "prime placement"
  • Listed as a presenting sponsor in event program
  • Logo displayed on foundation's website

Tagovailoa is going into his sophomore season with the Miami Dolphins and is expected to be the full-time starter. In his rookie season, he went 186-for-290 in passing and racked up 1,1814 yards and 11 touchdowns with only five interceptions. On the ground, Tagovailoa rushed for 109 yards and three touchdowns. He started in nine of the 10 games he played in.
