Three former Alabama football players were named to the roster for the 2015 NFL Pro Bowl.  Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones, Buffalo Bills DT Marcell Dareus and Baltimore Ravens LB CJ Mosley were recognized as some of the best players in the NFL this season at their respective positions.  Both Jones and Dareus are being recognized as Pro Bowlers for the 2nd time in their careers.

Julio Jones is 2nd in the NFL in receiving yards with 1,535 and one of only three receivers in the league with at least 100 catches.  He has gone over 100 yards receiving in 7 games this season, including a 259-yard performance against the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football in Week 14.  This is Jones' 2nd 1,000-yard season since he was drafted by the Falcons in 2011.

Like Jones, Marcell Dareus was also a top ten pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.  After some initial struggles, Dareus has become one of the best defensive linemen in the league.  As part of the Bills ferocious defense, he had 48 tackles and 10 sacks.  He had multiple sacks in three games, and twice notched three sacks in a game.  Questions arose about Dareus after several off-field incidents during the offseason, but this has been his most productive season as a pass rusher in the NFL.

CJ Mosley made history as the first rookie in the history of the Baltimore Ravens franchise. He is 7th in the NFL with 122 tackles, and is the only player with at least 115 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions.  The former Butkus Award winner at Alabama is a leading candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.

More Alabama players will have chances to play in the 2015 Pro Bowl.  Injuries and players going to Super Bowl will leave some positions open in the coming weeks.  Philadelphia Eagles guard Evan Mathis and Green Bay Packers runningback Eddie Lacy were named alternates at their respective positions.
