Alabama Starting Tight End Will be Available for Playoff Matchup with Oklahoma
Alabama will get a massive boost to its offense in the Tide's first-round playoff game against the Oklahoma Sooners, as Alabama used the week between the SEC championship and the College Football Playoff to get healthy on offense.

Several key members of the Tide's offense were banged up, with Parker Brailsford and Germie Bernard missing Alabama's game against Eastern Illinois, running back Jam Miller missing the first three games of the season and Alabama's loss to Georgia in the SEC championship, and tight end Josh Cuevas missing Alabama's victory over Eastern Illinois, the Iron Bowl, and the SEC championship.
Brailsford, Bernard, and Miller were not listed on Tuesday's availability report for Alabama's playoff game against Oklahoma, meaning they will be available for the Crimson Tide on Friday night. Tight end Josh Cuevas was listed as questionable alongside reserve tight end Danny Lewis Jr. According to head coach Kalen DeBoer on Wednesday, "both of them will be available.
"Experience, athleticism, just consistent in everything, knows his assignment,” DeBoer said of Cuevas. “He’s been in the system now three years, and so, he can kind of do it all. He’s comfortable in the box, on the line, flexed out. All the little things that we really utilize our tight ends for, he’s just extremely comfortable doing it.”
Another availability report for Alabama and Oklahoma will be released at 7:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday. Alabama and Oklahoma will face off in the first round of the College Football Playoff on Friday, December 19, in Norman, Oklahoma. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT.
