The Crimson Tide will look to make additions in the transfer portal once its 2025 season wraps up in the College Football Playoffs. However, the Crimson Tide's playoff game has not stopped Alabama from recruiting on the trail.

According to On3 Sports, Alabama has added a commitment from the transfer portal already, adding Oklahoma State tight end transfer Josh Ford to its 2026 recruiting class.

Ford, a 6-foot-6, 265-pound tight end, just wrapped up his sophomore season at Oklahoma State. He was a three-star recruit from Stillwater, Oklahoma, and signed with the Cowboys was a member of Oklahoma State's 2024 recruiting class. He was ranked as the No. 108 overall tight end in the 2024 class and the No. 23 overall prospect in Oklahoma.

In his two seasons in Stillwater, Oklahoma, as a member of the Cowboys, Ford has caught 13 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns. He is the first addition for the Crimson Tide in the 2026 transfer portal window. Alabama will lose at least two tight ends at the end of the 2025 season, with Josh Cuevas and Brody Dalton out of eligibility. Cuevas transferred to Alabama from Washington prior to the 2024 season, and Dalton transferred to Alabama from Troy before the 2025 season. Dalton is a Fyffe, Alabama, native. Cuevas, a Los Angeles, California, native, also played at Cal Poly before transferring to Washington.
