Jacobs, a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft by the Oakland Raiders, signed with the Green Bay Packers on a four-year deal ahead of the 2024 season. Matt LeFleur, Green Bay's head coach, comes from the Shannahan and McVay coaching tree in the NFL, meaning that the Packers put an emphasis on a physical run game to open things up in the passing game.

Jacobs fits the mold perfectly for the Packers. In his first season in Green Bay, Jacobs rushed for 1,329 yards (sixth in the NFL) and 15 touchdowns (fourth in the NFL). Jacobs averaged 4.4 yards per carry in his first season with the Packers.

The Tusla, Oklahoma native is just 27 years old, is one of the top active running backs in the NFL, and one of the top former Crimson Tide running backs in the league. His best performance from 2024 came in the Packers' 30-27 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns.

Although he wasn't the lead back during his time in Tuscaloosa, Jacobs was a force when he was on the field, rushing for 1,488 yards and 16 touchdowns during his Crimson Tide career. He helped the Crimson Tide claim the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship.
