TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - On Thursday morning, Tuscaloosa Circuit Court Judge Daniel Pruet sided with the NCAA, denying Alabama center Charles Bediako's request to postpone his preliminary injunction hearing in Bediako's lawsuit against the NCAA.

Bediako requested the postponement on Wednesday morning, and on Thursday, the NCAA filed a motion opposing Bediako's request. In the motion, the NCAA requested that Bediako's temporary restraining order, which has allowed him to play for Alabama in the Tide's last four games, be immediately dissolved. The NCAA called Bediako's postponement attempt "a last-minute attempt to secure an advantageous delay."

However, there is not yet a ruling on dissolving Bediako's temporary restraining order, which is set to expire before Alabama takes on the Auburn Tigers on Saturday. Bediako's hearing remains scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 6, in Tuscaloosa Circuit Court.
