Justin Thomas Enters Final Round of PGA Championship Two Strokes Back
Former Alabama golfer Justin Thomas will tee off second-to-last in Sunday's final round of the PGA Championship in search of his first career major.
Thomas, who shot two-under on Saturday, finds himself just two strokes back of Kevin Kisner in the year's final major championship. After starting the week with a 2-over, 73, Thomas rebounded to shoot 7-under over the next two rounds to put himself in a great position to chase his first major.
It's been a breakout year for Thomas and a big round on Sunday could cap off an incredible season. At 24 years of age, the Kentucky native already has three wins on the PGA Tour this season and sits fourth in the FedExCup standings. He climbed all the way up into the top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings earlier this year and now sits at 14th.
Sunday's round will get underway at 1:35 PM/CT and he'll tee off with Hideki Matsuyama (-6), another top young golfer in search of his first career major. They'll both be chasing the final pairing of Kisner (-7) and Chris Stround (-6). Coverage begins on TNT at 10 AM and continues on CBS at 1 PM.
