Former Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor is the first Alabama player off the board in the 2026 NFL draft, extending Alabama's first-round draft streak to 18 years, dating back to Nick Saban's first first-round pick in the 2009 draft with Andre Smith to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor marks the third first-round draft pick of the Kalen DeBoer era at Alabama after the Miami Dolphins drafted Proctor with the No. 12 overall pick on Thursday night.

Proctor, a 6-foot-7, 352-pound offensive tackle originally from Des Moines, Iowa, committed to Alabama over Iowa as a high school senior. He spent three seasons in Tuscaloosa, where he was named the Crimson Tide's starting left tackle as a true freshman. He started at left tackle for three seasons at Alabama, being named a consensus All-American after his junior campaign in 2025.

Proctor joins a Dolphins franchise in a multi-year rebuild, but should come in as a potential starter at left tackle for the team based in South Florida. The Dolphins have needed offensive line help for a while, and if Proctor can continue to work on his weight issues that plagued his tenure at Alabama, then he should be a physical behemoth that no defensive player in the NFL wants to see coming down the track.
