On Saturday morning, former Crimson Tide left tackle Kadyn Proctor told reporters that he has met with five NFL teams: the Cincinnati Bengals, the Detroit Lions, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cleveland Browns, and the Houston Texans. Proctor will test at the combine on Sunday, March 1st, alongside former Tide center Parker Brailsford and offensive guard Jaeden Roberts.

Of the five teams Proctor met with, three of them have a glaring need at offensive tackle, with the Lions, Bengals, and Browns all losing key pieces to their respective fronts. The Cleveland Browns moved off former Tide tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., who sat out the 2025 season due to lingering injuries, and hopes to find a new home this season. Wills was drafted in 2020 to the browns and was with the team for five seasons before becoming a free agent.

The Detroit Lions are also in need of help on the line of scrimmage, losing tackle Dan Skipper, who announced his retirement in January. While the Lions have All-Pro tackle Penai Sewell on the right side, they could greatly benefit from bolstering the left side of the line to block for former Tide running back Jahmyr Gibbs.

The Bengals seem like the most likely spot for Proctor to go, given the inconsistencies they've had on the front five since they drafted Joe Burrow in 2020. Cincinnati currently sits with $50 million in cap space ahead of the 2026 NFL season, and can spend the money to address the offensive line woes in both the draft and free agency. The Bengals have struggled to stay healthy on the line, and Proctor would give them much-needed size and health in protecting their key franchise quarterback.
