Kadyn Proctor Practicing and Other injury Updates
The biggest injury that Alabama Football is dealing with is offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor. Proctor suffered a shoulder injury during pregame of the Crimson Tide's warm-ups against the Hilltoppers.
During Alabama's warmups against South Florida last week, Proctor was in full pads with a brace on his shoulder. When Alabama took the field for the game, he was in street clothes.
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer talked on the SEC Teleconference on Wednesday, providing a strong update on Proctor ahead of Alabama's road trip to Madison, Wisconsin.
"He's been practicing," DeBoer said. "He's doing well. Doing a good job. Really was headed in a really good direction right at the very end of last week. Turned the corner, I think, there. Is in a good spot here. Done a nice job here in the first two days of practice."
Proctor could return to the lineup in Week Three against the Badgers. Proctor has not yet played a game for Alabama in 2024. He started all 14 games for Alabama in 2023, but spent spring practice in Des Moines, Iowa, as a member of the Hawkeyes. Proctor returned to Alabama in May during the spring transfer portal window.
If Proctor plays on Saturday, the offensive lineup could look like this:
LT: Kadyn Proctor
LG: Tyler Booker
C: Parker Brailsford
RG: Jaeden Roberts
RT: Wilkin Formby OR Elijah Pritchett
DeBoer also provided an update on Proctor on Monday, calling Proctor "pretty dang close" to playing on Saturday
DeBoer also provided an update on wide receiver Cole Adams.
"dodged bullets with how quickly he's going to be coming back," DeBoer said. However, Adams will likely be doubtful on Saturday following an upper-body injury suffered on Saturday against South Florida.
