Kalen DeBoer After Scrimmage No. 2

Alabama was a little banged up following the first scrimmage of Fall Camp, which was evident at Wednesday's open practice. It was no secret Alabama was banged up -  with just one scholarship running back participating in the media viewing portion of Wednesday's practice.

Injuries are always a concern, especially when participating in scrimmages. Jaeden Roberts was banged up in Alabama's second scrimmage, what is his status, as well as the status of Jam Miller, who did not participate?

"Jaeden [Roberts] will be able to play week one," DeBoer says. "He'll be able to play week one. There won't be anything where he'll be out a game or anything."

We mentioned the running backs earlier, and the injuries appear to still be hindering some of them, but not to a horrible extent. The most notable injury in that room was Jam Miller, who is expected to be among the starting running backs for Alabama this season with Justice Haynes.

"Getting some of the guys back that maybe were dinged up over the last week or two, slowly but surely," DeBoer said. " We kept a couple of guys out, but if they had to play - they could have. A guy like Jam Miller - I know you guys are well aware - banged up a week ago. [He] could have gone today if he needed to, just not getting too crazy and being smart."

Overall, DeBoer provided a positive injury report from the second scrimmage, "We're getting healthier I think, even though we got a few guys dinged up today."
