With spring ball starting on Monday, Alabama will be without a handful of key starters as spring football starts, with others being limited as they recover from injuries from the end of the 2024 football season.

Kalen DeBoer spoke with the media, revealing the injuries for Alabama football:

"I'll just read off the ones who will be out for the spring," DeBoer said. "Alex Asparuhov, David Bird, Bubba Hampton will be out, Kavonte Henry, Domani Jackson, Deontae Lawson, Danny Lewis Jr., and Keon Sabb."

"We have some guys who will be limited..." DeBoer said. "Justin Jefferson, Kadyn Proctor, James Smith. Pretty much most of those injuries are from last season still."

For those keeping count at home, that is five starters from last season who will be out or limited in spring football, and three more projected starters on the 2025 roster that will be limited.

Despite the injuries, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer was optimistic about the reps it would provide younger players on the roster.

"There’s a chance to build some depth with these upperclassmen out," DeBoer said.
