Alabama Lands Commitment from Four-Star Tennessee Linebacker
The Alabama Crimson Tide continues to add to its 2027 recruiting class, with Hayes Fawcett of On3 and Rivals reporting that four-star linebacker Kenneth Simon II has committed to the Crimson Tide via social media.

Simon, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker from Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee, chose the Crimson Tide over Georgia, Tennessee, and Ole Miss.
He's rated as the No. 10 linebacker in the 247 Composite rankings. He is the No. 133 overall player and the No. 6 player in Tennessee according to 247 Composite. He was a full-time starter for Brentwood as a junior in 2025, starting all 12 games as Brentwood Academy went 12-0 and won a TSSAA Division-II-AA Championship. His father, Kevin Simon, played for Tennessee from 2001 to 2005 and was a two-time All-SEC selection with the Volunteers. The Washington Redskins (now the Commanders) drafted him in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL draft.
Simon has taken three unofficial visits to Tiscaloosa, with the most recent being on April 11, a week after Alabama's A-Day. He has an official visit scheduled with Alabama on May 29.
Simon is the sixth commitment for the Crimson Tide in the 2027 recruiting class. Here are Alabama's currently committed prospects in 2027:
Elijah Haven: 5-Star QB
Trent Seaborn: 4-Star QB
Kenneth Simon II: 4-Star LB
Colt Lumpris: 3-Star TE
Avrian Pauley: 3-Star DL
