Keon Sabb’s Injury Rehab Continues Positive Trend
Tuscaloosa, Ala. - The Crimson Tide wrapped up the second closed scrimmage of spring camp, and with it came an update on Alabama safety Keon Sabb.

Sabb has been absent from the entirety of spring practice due to a lower body injury he suffered in Alabama's 24-17 loss to Tennessee on October 19 last season. Sabb was spotted in a boot during the Tide's loss to Michigan in the Reliaquest Bowl in Tampa, Florida.
On Friday, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer provided an update on the second-year transfer from Michigan.
"First of all, Keon [Sabb], just continuing to get good feedback and reports. It's been super positive," DeBoer said to reporters on Friday. "Even today, another positive report, probably as positive as we've had. We expected that, but we're excited for him to get going and keep taking those steps to keep going and get to those benchmarks."
DeBoer did not say exactly what Sabb's injury was, but referenced that it was a tough injury he suffered against Tennessee in October.
"It was quite an injury he was coming back from," DeBoer said. "The fight, I'm never going to question that because last Fall, what he worked through and the way he sacrificed himself - the Tennessee game in particular - and the two-game stretch leading up to it, [he's] got a lot of fight, and people respect him and I do too."
Before departing on the year with a lower body injury, Sabb totaled 24 solo tackles, 39 total tackles, four pass breakups, and two interceptions.
He is expected to be healthy for the start of the season on August 30 against Florida State.
