According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Johnson's commitment date is set for June 19th. The four-star linebacker is set to decide between Alabama, Ohio State, and Penn State.

Official Visits

Johnson's primary recruiter in Tuscaloosa is linebackers' coach Chuck Morrell, who earned that role after the 2024 college football season. Ohio State is currently the leading school for him, with On3 Sports giving Ohio State a 92.7 percent chance to land him. Alabama is second with a 1.4 percent chance.

Johnson has made several visits to those who are widely considered the top schools in his recruitment. He's been to Ohio State, which is 116 miles from his home, eight times during his recruitment. He's been to Tuscaloosa, 659 miles away, three times.

He has five official visits scheduled so far, and has already taken one to Penn State on May 16. His next stop will be at Alabama on May 30.

After Alabama, Johnson will go to Oklahoma on June 6, Ohio State on June 13, and USC on June 20.

Stats

247 Sports ranks Johnson as one of the top edge rushers in the country, ranking him No. 9 in the class. In 2023, as a sophomore in high school, Johnson totaled 121 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and three forced fumbles.

Alabama is expected to host a loaded recruiting weekend. The Tide will have nine top-150 prospects in the 2026 class on campus this weekend.
