Kickoff Time, Television Network Announced for Alabama at Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0, 1-0) will take a short road trip to Starkville, Mississippi, to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0) in a renewed rivalry game: The Battle for Highway 82 on Saturday, October 3.

On Monday, the SEC announced that Alabama's road trip to Mississippi State will kick off at 11:00 a.m. or 11:45 a.m., and the game will be televised on ABC, ESPN, or the SEC Network.

Alabama holds an 88-17-3 all-time record against its closest SEC neighbor, Mississippi State. The Crimson Tide last beat the Bulldogs on Saturday, September 30, 2023. The Crimson Tide went to Starkville and left with a 40-17 victory. Alabama currently holds a 16-game win streak over Mississippi State dating back to 2008.

The Bulldogs' last win came in Starkville in 2007, when Mississippi State defeated Alabama 17-12. Alabama and Mississippi State did not play in the 2024 or 2025 seasons. The Bulldogs are now an annual opponent of the Crimson Tide in the SEC's "protected rivalries", alongside the Tennessee Volunteers and the Auburn Tigers.
