Latrell Wrightsell Jr. Signs Exhibit 10 Contract with Charlotte Hornets
According to his agency, Edge Sports International, former Alabama guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr. is signing an Exhibit-10 contract with the Charlotte Hornets after the conclusion of the NBA draft on Wednesday night.

Wrightsell shot 43% on close to eight attempts per game last season from three-point range and was one of the top guards on Alabama's roster when healthy. He was Alabama's third-leading scorer during his final season during the 2025-2026 campaign, averaging 13.2 points, 1.9 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 40.3% from the floor and 36% from three-point range.
Wrightsell spent six seasons in college basketball, redshirting after his first year at Cal State Fullerton, and spending two more seasons in California before transferring to play for Nate Oats and Alabama ahead of the 2023-2024 season. He spent three seasons in Tuscaloosa, earning a redshirt for the 2024-2025 season after tearing his Achilles early in the season against Oregon.
Wrightsell is the second Alabama men's basketball player to end up with an NBA team this offseason after guard Labaron Philon Jr. was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the draft on Tuesday night. Wrightsell's Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed, minimum-salary contract, but it guarantees Wrightsell a training camp invite with the Charlotte Hornets. Former Alabama forward Grant Nelson signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Brooklyn Nets after last season's draft, remained on the Nets' G-League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, and played in four games last season for Brooklyn, averaging 4.3 points per game.
