On Thursday, Alabama starting middle linebacker Deontae Lawson was named a quarterfinalist for the Lott Impact Trophy. The Lott Impact Trophy is presented annually to the top defensive player in college football, with Alabama claiming the award twice in the award's history. DeMeco Ryans won the award in 2005, and Will Anderson Jr. won the award in 2022 after his historic season as an edge rusher.
