The Lombardi Award is a college football award given to the most outstanding lineman or linebacker who embodies the character and discipline of coach Vince Lombardi. The Crimson Tide has five players in the running for this award, the most out of any team. Red shirt senior D-lineman Tim Kenon III, red shirt junior O-lineman Parker Brailsford, junior D-lineman LT Overton, senior linebacker Deontae Lawson, and junior O-lineman Kadyn Proctor.

Defensive lineman Tim Kenon III came back this year after getting passed up on in the NFL draft. He started the season injured, so there have not been many stats to cover for the big fella. In his time back against Vanderbilt, he recovered a fumble in the second half that helped lead a second-half shutout.

Center Parker Brailsford is a permanent captain for the Alabama Crimson Tide and has made his presence felt. Parker has tallied up 49 total knockdown blocks, averaging 8.1 across the first six games. Parker has also had five games in which he did not allow a single sack.

Edge rusher LT Overton is the face of the Tides' defensive line, making the backfield a nightmare for the opposing team. Overton has gotten 22 total tackles with 11 assists and solo tackles. He averages 3.6 tackles a game and has also forced a loss of 24 yards on the season, averaging a loss of four yards a game.

Linebacker Deontae Lawson has also been a leader on this Alabama defense. Lawson has accumulated 34 tackles, averaging 5.6 a game for the Tide, including 19 solo tackles and 15 assists. He has contributed to multiple pass breakups and has also gotten a fumble recovery.

Last but certainly not least is fan favorite O-lineman Kadyn Proctor, who earned Outland Trophy Player of the Week accolades, SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, and was selected as an offensive (power) player of the week by the Alabama coaching staff, all for his game against Georgia. He has gotten a total of 41 knockdown blocks, averaging 6.83 a game. Proctor did not allow a sack in five of their six games. Proctor has also picked up three huge first downs for the Tides offense, all in crucial times, like his 11-yard first down against the Bulldogs.
