Former Alabama Edge LT Overton Drafted by the Dallas Cowboys
Former Alabama defensive lineman LT Overton is the fourth player off the board for the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2026 NFL draft, with the Dallas Cowboys taking Overton with the 37th pick in the fourth round of the NFL draft, No. 137 overall.

Overton, a former five-star recruit from Georgia, transferred to Alabama after spending two seasons with the Texas A&M Aggies. During his two seasons in Tuscaloosa, Overton was a starter for defensive coordinator Kane Wommack, totaling 42 tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks in 2024. In 2025, Overton totaled 42 tackles, six tackles for loss, and four sacks, adding one pass breakup. He dealt with an injury during the end of Alabama's 2025-26 season, missing the SEC championship and the Crimson Tide's first-round playoff victory over the Oklahoma Sooners due to a medical issue. He returned for Alabama's quarterfinal matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers in the Rose Bowl.
Overton joins a Cowboys defense where he may not be asked to start immediately, but will have the ability to learn under former Michigan Wolverine Rashan Gary, and alongside former Alabama defensive lineman Quinnen Williams, whom the Cowboys traded for during the 2025 season.
