Mac Jones Is Shining Despite Slow Start To The Season
Despite the slow start that rookie quarterback Mac Jones has had at New England he is proving to be 'the guy' for the Patriots after their recent win over the New York Jets. At the beginning of the season, Jones was faced with competing with veteran quarterback - Cam Newton. He was quick to winning over the starting job prior to the first game of the season. So far, Jones seems to have really taken control of the Patriot's offense and has done a good job of getting the ball to where it needs to go.
Jones completed 22-of-30 passes for 186 yards in Sunday's 25-6 win over the Jets.
Jones was accurate in the first half, completing 17-of-21 passes for 142 yards to guide his team to a 13-3 lead at the break. The running game and defense led the way in the second half to seal Jones' first NFL win.
If you are an Alabama fan, you know how exciting it is getting to see Jones lined up with his former teammate Damien Harris. The two were best buds at Alabama and to see them performing at the highest level together is quite the sight to see.
As for the rest of Jones' season, fans are excited to see how he performs on the professional level. He has all the tools to be a great NFL quarterback, and based off what we have seen from him so far, his career in the NFL looks very promising.
