Mark Sears, a senior from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, earned major recognition from the Associated Press for his play in the 2024-2025 men's basketball season.

Sears was named a First-Team All-American by the Associated Press.

Sears becomes the second Alabama men's basketball player to be named an AP First-Team All-American. Brandon Miller is the only other player to be named an AP First-Team All-American.

Sears becomes the 23rd All-American in program history. Miller, the only other AP First-Team All-American in Alabama men's basketball history, earned his honors in 2023.

In 2024, Sears was named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press. In 2025, he is a semifinalist for the Naismith Player of the Year Award and an NBAC Southeast District First Team selection.

Sears is also a finalist for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award.

Over his three-year Alabama career, Sears has won 80 games while soaring on the list of Alabama's all-time leading scorers. Sears is third all-time in program history with 1,876 points at Alabama.

In the 2024-2025 season, Sears has started all 33 games possible for the Crimson Tide, leading the Tide in scoring with 18.7 points per game and leading the team in assists with 4.9 assists per game. Sears is shooting 40.3 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from three-point range.
