Mark Sears just announced that he is withdrawing from the NBA Draft process and will return to Alabama for his senior season.

The former Ohio transfer is the first Alabama player that tested other options this offseason to choose to return to the team.

Fellow teammates Brandon Miller, Noah Clowney and Charles Bediako have all declared for the 2023 NBA Draft. Alabama has also lost Nimari Burnett to Michigan and Jaden Bradley to Arizona. Fellow guard Jahvon Quinerly has yet to announce if he will return to Alabama.

A huge announcement for Alabama Basketball and Nate Oats, as Sears was the second leading scorer on a team that loses their primary scorer in Miller. He could very well be Oats' primary scoring option next season.

Sears averaged 12.5 points per game, as well as 2.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in the 2022-2023 season. He will make up a backcourt with Hofstra transfer Aaron Estrada and, potentially, fellow veteran Jahvon Quinerly.
