McAdory Shuts Out Paul W. Bryant in Lopsided Game
Paul W. Bryant started off the game playing great defense in the first quarter, but also could not get their offense going against McAdory’s defense. After that first quarter, it was downhill for Paul W. Bryant offensively and defensively. On Offence, they would pick up maybe two decent runs per drive and go nowhere with the throwing game. Defensively, they could not stop McAdory’s quarterback's arm, to save their life.

Senior QB Justin Patton called in an aerial attack with all the bombs he was throwing in the second quarter. On one drive alone, he threw two different 40-plus yard passes, one of them leading to a touchdown for receiver Marcus Briggs for McAdory. Patton threw the ball with such accuracy that rarely did his receivers drop a pass, whether they were smothered or wide open. He also got a short touchdown pass for two yards to Carter Feagin, which added to the lead, making it 17-0.
The second half was no different when it came to scoring the ball for both teams. Paul W. Bryant was actually running the ball really well until they got into the 40-30 yard range, and then they would fall apart. McAdory, on the other hand, started breaking down Paul W. Bryant's defense not only in the air but also on the ground. They rushed for three touchdowns in the second half, including a four-yard rush by running back Derrion Davis and a six-yard rush by fullback Carter Johnson. The most impressive play was by running back Kawann Johnson, who broke through the line and stormed down the field for a 47-yard rushing touchdown, ending the game 37-0.
The McAdory Yellowjackets move to 6-1 while Paul W. Bryant remains defeated 0-7. Tonight's player of the game goes to McAdory’s senior QB Justin Patton for his accuracy and his two touchdown passes.
