West Alabama High School Scores: Week 0

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Week 0 wraps up, marking the unofficial start of the high school football season across Alabama. Lightning and rain delayed the start of the 2026 high school football season on Friday night, but action began Thursday as the American Christian Academy took on the Northridge Jaguars, with a host of other games starting Friday night.

American Christian Academy at Northridge

The American Christian Academy defeated Northridge 28-14 on the back of two Caleb Hines interceptions, with the second one being a pick-six to seal the victory for ACA. Despite losing their starting quarterback following a taunting penalty, ACA started the season 1-0, while Northridge fell to 0-1 in the young season.

Hillcrest at Tuscaloosa County

The Hillcrest Patriots looked like they could beat the team wearing Crimson 15 minutes up the road on Friday night, trouncing the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats 64-0 behind three first-half touchdowns from QB Jordan Shambley.

Sulligent at Tuscaloosa Academy

Tuscaloosa Academy returned their star quarterback Mark Norris from a season ago, and he picked up right where he left off, totaling five touchdowns in the Knights' 33-12 season-opening victory over Sulligent High School.
