Although the college football season is barely underway as we enter week five this Saturday, ESPN's Mel Kiper, Jr. has released his top ten wide receivers in the 2022 draft class, including two Crimson Tide wide outs. Jameson Williams and John Metchie III both crack the top ten on Kiper's list, meaning Alabama could see, yet another, draft with at least one first rounder at the position.

Williams, an offseason transfer from Ohio State coming in at sixth on the list, has been transcendent in the 2021 Crimson Tide offense. Through four games, the former four-star out of Saint Louis has picked up 299 yards on 12 receptions with three touchdowns. For anyone interested, those numbers are good for nearly 25 yards per reception; elite level numbers for someone that, just a year ago, was struggling to find his place on a team he didn't fit.

A perfect example of using the transfer portal to your advantage, Williams has surely found his place within the Alabama offense.

Metchie, standing at just six feet tall and 195 lbs., is one of the most physical receivers in the country and comes in at seventh on the list. The Canadian product has shown time and time again his excellent blocking ability on the edge on top of administering some bone crushing hits.

Joining the Crimson Tide in 2019, Metchie appeared in 13 games as a freshman but caught just four passes. Coming into 2020, following the departure of Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs, Metchie became a featured piece of the Alabama offense, hauling in 55 catches for 916 yards and six touchdowns. Through the first four games of 2021, Metchie is on pace for another great year with 240 yards and a touchdown on 24 receptions.

The Crimson Tide feature a star-studded cast at wide receiver once again, and Williams and Metchie have shown no sign of slowing down. The Crimson Tide have their toughest test yet at home this Saturday against the Ole Miss Rebels, and these two receivers will need to show out to secure a win.
