
Former Alabama MBB Player, Mobile Native Mikhail Torrance Passes
Former Alabama men's basketball player and Mobile, Alabama, native Mikhail Torrance has passed away, it was announced on Thursday afternoon. The cause of death is currently unknown.

The former Eight Mile, Alabama, native and Mary G. Montgomery High School basketball star played for the Crimson Tide from 2006 to 2010 under head coaches Mark Gottfried and Anthony Grant. His best season with the Crimson Tide came in his final year in Tuscaloosa, when he averaged 15.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks, earning him Second-Team All-SEC recognition.
Torrance went undrafted in the 2010 NBA draft due to a heart condition that teams ultimately decided to pass on him because of, but played professional basketball in Turkey, Canada, Finland, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico from 2011 to 2015.
