With less than three weeks until the NFL draft, former Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe continues to generate buzz as a potential first-round prospect in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Milroe has already accepted an invite to Wisconsin for the draft later this month, indicating the NFL feels comfortable with him as a potential high draft pick. Milroe continues to work through his pre-draft process after a strong showing during Alabama's Pro Day and multiple appearances in front of NFL personnel at the Senior Bowl and NFL combine.

Milroe also reportedly has worked out for a handful of NFL teams, according to Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz. Schultz reports Milroe held a private workout with the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns, describing the workout as "impressive."

Schultz also reported that Milroe met with executives from the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers last month ahead of Alabama's Pro Day.

The Browns currently hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft but could utilize their second-round pick to either trade up or take Milroe at 33 if he's still available. Cleveland's offensive coordinator is former Alabama offensive coordinator Tommy Rees, who coached Milroe during the Tide's 2023 College Football Playoff run.

The New Orleans Saints currently hold the No. 9 and No. 40 overall picks in the first two rounds of the NFL draft and could use some of that capital to draft Milroe in New Orleans.

The New York Jets currently hold the No. 7 and No. 42 overall picks in the first two rounds and could be in a similar situation to the Saints in using capital to move around in the top 40 picks to acquire Milroe in the draft.

The Pittsburgh Steelers seem like the most likely team to make Milroe a potential first-round pick from Alabama, sitting with the 21st overall pick in the first round. Pittsburgh lost both quarterbacks who played significant reps last season, with Justin Fields signing with the Jets and Russell Wilson signing with the New York Giants in free agency. Steelers' head coach Mike Tomlin was very interested in Milroe during the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, in February. The Steelers also hold the 83rd pick in the draft (round three), but Milroe may not be on the board by that point.

In his redshirt junior season at Alabama, Milroe led the Crimson Tide to a 9-4 record, with impressive wins over Georgia, South Carolina, and LSU in the regular season. Milroe passed for 2,844 yards and 16 touchdowns while adding 726 yards and 20 touchdowns rushing.
